Good to have climb_ca back, can't wait for more wooden bikes. Anyway, perhaps one of the longest windows in climbing history in the Himalayas has given many teams the opportunity to summit this season. The unprecendented weather window allowed record summits of Everest, but also made ascents of other less climbed 8000m peaks possible. Annapurna, while having dangerous conditions that thwarted an all-star group of climbers in BC, saw several summits.
Congratulations! There were three friends of mine submitted Qumulangma and had their safe trip back among them too!
I still wonder whether I should also attempt to be one of them!
