    Mountain Hardwear has shipped 628 donated two-person and three-person tents from the USA to China, where they will be used to house victims of the devestating May 12 earthquake that left 5 million homeless in Sichuan Province.

    The tents arrived June 2nd. Shipping was arranged and paid for by the UPS Foundation, which air fREIghted a total 125,216 pounds of donated supplies.
 
    Mountain Hardwear made the donation in response to plea for aid from the US - China Business Council and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to support the earthquake relief efforts in the impacted Sichuan province of China. 

    We feel a strong need to help the Chinese people whom we have relied upon for production over the years as we've developed our business." said Mike Wallenfels, President of Mountain Hardwear. "Shelter is one of the most bASIc needs for life and we are relieved that we can help out in any way."
